If you are considering anti-wrinkle treatment, you’re not alone. A recent industry survey revealed that 67% of women between the ages of 35 and 49 years old are wanting to fight the signs of ageing – and 71% of you say that reducing wrinkles tops your list of concerns!

In this article, we’ll share five important things that you and your friends need to know about anti-wrinkle treatments, to help you make an informed decision regarding which treatment, injector and clinic is right for you.

What kind of products are used?

At Australian Skin Clinics, we offer the two leading global brands of anti-wrinkle product, so you can have the best possible treatment choices to suits you. These anti-wrinkle products are essentially a purified protein, called a neuromodulator, to relax the muscles in the treatment area.

This product is considered a prescription medication and therefore regulatory guidelines prevent us from advertising the brand names, however it can be discussed freely during your complimentary consultation with our experienced Doctors and Registered Nurse injectors.

What concerns can be treated with anti-wrinkle?

Anti-wrinkle treatments effectively treat a range of concerns including ageing, fine lines, wrinkle prevention, and deep line formation. The most commonly treated areas are the frown lines, forehead, crow’s feet (beside the eyes) and bunny lines (on the nose).

Treatment takes just up to 14 days to take full effect, and the result is a fresher, healthier and more youthful appearance.

How much does an anti-wrinkle treatment cost?

Our everyday prices for anti-wrinkle are $3.95 per unit (option 1) and $11.90 per unit (option 2) – and you only pay for what you need! Upon assessment, your qualified Doctor or Registered Nurse injector will determine the number of units required to suit your needs and desired results.

Stay vigilant about any clinics that offer discounted injectable services, as this is against the regulatory guidelines and could be a sign you take your business to a more reputable clinic.

Who performs the treatment?

Cosmetic injectables are always prescribed by our medical team of Doctors and performed by our highly trained Registered Nurse or Doctor Injectors. We offer ongoing training to our medical team to ensure they are always up to date with the latest treatments and techniques.

On top of strong medical skills, our injectors are also required to display a great eye for aesthetics and the ability to listen and understand your needs. This ensures you receive a quality treatment and results you are happy with.

What care can I expect before, during and after treatment?

We start with a complimentary, in-depth consultation followed by a 15–45-minute treatment. Your Cosmetic Injector will discuss the treatment and answer any questions you might have so that you are fully informed about your treatment.

Although uncommon, there are risks to any cosmetic injectable treatment. Being treated by a highly experienced Injector will reduce these risks further. A follow-up appointment is also scheduled two weeks after your initial treatment, to review your results and provide ongoing support.
