About IPL Technology

The IPL works through transmitting light through the skin to the blood vessels. As the light is absorbed into the vessels it turns to heat, which is conducted to the vessel walls.

The damage caused by the heat conducted, is enough to damage the walls, which the circulatory system cannot repair, making them disappear. The veins are fast and easy to treat.

Each of our Western Australia clinics are equipped with the IPL technology used to treat facial veins, visible blood vessels and capillaries.

How May Treatments Will I Need?

What Equipment is Used?

GentleLasePro-logo-1The Candela GentleYag uses non-invasive IPL technology to safely, and effectively treat facial redness and flushing, and red facial spider veins. You can expect to see consistent results after each treatment, without unwanted side effects. Treatment can be performed in a relaxed, comfortable manner without the use of topical anesthetics.

What does this procedure do?

Patients often describe the treatment as relaxing and therapeutic. You will experience a gentle warming if your skin’s surface during the procedure as the IPL hand piece is moved back and forth about a centimeter above the skin. The heating of the skin stimulates collagen re-growth and dilates the capillaries.

On average, you will require four to six treatments in order to achieve optimal results. The individual treatment results are subtle, but the overall effect of multiple treatments can be quite dramatic. You can immediately return to normal activities, utilizing sunscreen if participating in outdoors activities.
