Protect with UV Defiance

Although living in Australia can be wonderful for all its sunshine and warmth, the ozone layer is greatly depleted here. This magnifies the strength of sunburn and increases the surface UVB levels. So it’s no wonder that daily sunscreen is our first summer skin saviour.

Sun damage is accumulative and although you may not notice it in the form of an immediate sun burn, sun damage will show up later like that uninvited party guest at your summer barbecue. Most of the time sun damage will appear in the form of wrinkles, pigmentation, blood vessels, brown spots and open pores.

A light, oil-free sunscreen such as Balense UV Defiance SPF 50+ is a must. This lotion provides excellent skin feel, is make up compatible and suitable for sensitive skin and children. The non-ghosting formulation provides excellent hydration with the addition of Vitamin E and Aloe Vera.[vc_row][vc_column][vc_separator][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/4″][vc_single_image image=”35217″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center” onclick=”custom_link” img_link_target=”_blank” link=””][/vc_column][vc_column width=”3/4″][vc_column_text]

Hydrate with a professional moisturiser

The change to summer weather often results in a change in your skin care routine.  Your skin can become easily dehydrated from humid weather, sweat, chlorine, salt water and even makeup. Beat the heat and make sure your skin doesn’t look like a desert this summer by drinking plenty of water and upping your moisturiser game.

It’s important to make sure you avoid harsh products and soaps that can cause damage and dehydrate your skin too.  Although you may be sweating plenty, it doesn’t mean your skin can skip moisturiser. If you’re not sure how much moisturiser to put on or which products to use, book a complimentary advanced skin consultation at your local clinic. We will assess your skin and design a personalised skin care regime just for you, for FREE![vc_row][vc_column][vc_separator][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/4″][vc_single_image image=”35215″ img_size=”full” onclick=”custom_link” img_link_target=”_blank” link=””][/vc_column][vc_column width=”3/4″][vc_column_text]

Soothe your skin with Neuro-Gel

With weather as gorgeous as this, it’s hard to stay out of the sun completely. In case sunburn and redness results, one of the best ways to immediately soothe your skin is with a cold wet towel applied to your face and neck. This can help cool the blood flowing to your face. If your face frequently flushes, be careful as it can cause the capillaries around your face to dilate and lead to chronic redness.

This brings us to our final summer skin saviour: soothing Balense Recovery Neuro-Gel.  Although this is traditionally used post treatment from Laser and IPL, it can also be used as a cooling antibacterial mask as it contains synergistic skin nurturing actives with antibacterial benefits. The products star ingredient, Gifolin, is known to soothe the agitation of nerve endings that induce burning, itching and redness that cause thermal ageing of the skin.
