Performed by medical professionals

How it works

Dermal fillers are formulated using a naturally occurring substance. This molecule binds water and acts as a lubricant within the body, whilst also regulating your skin’s water balance.

Our expert doctors and registered nurses inject the gel-based filler into the skin to give you instant results. Dermal fillers revitalise, add volume and shape to the treated area.

During your complimentary injectables consultation, your cosmetic nurse will sit down with you to discuss your goals and develop a personalised treatment plan for you.

Dermal Filler Injections - Results can be seen immediately

Optimise your results

Dermal filler results can be seen immediately following your appointment with best results at 10-14 days. Treatments can take 15-45 minutes and results can last 6-12 months.

To help reduce any swelling or bruising, we recommend adding a LED Rejuvenate treatment to your appointment or using an ice pack if needed.

Frequently asked questions

Dermal fillers are smooth injectable gels, made from a substance (which naturally occurs in our skin and joints to hydrate and lubricate) that are placed beneath the skin’s surface to restore volume, correct static wrinkles and folds and erase fine lines, whilst providing the skin with volume, support and hydration.

Dermal Fillers rejuvenate and enhance facial features, restore youthful contours and have instant, natural looking and feeling results that last between 6 to 12 months.

Dermal fillers can be used to smooth away facial lines and wrinkles, create fuller lips, shape facial contours and revitalise the skin. Common treatment areas include nose to mouth lines (the nasolabial folds), lips (adding volume and shape), cheeks, chin and jawline.

The injections themselves feel like a slight pinch, and you may experience slight pressure or a ‘stinging’ sensation as the product is being injected. All dermal filler treatments contain local anaesthetic.

Longevity depends on many factors, such as the individual’s skin type, skin condition, lifestyle and age – as well as the type and amount of product used. After the initial treatment, follow-up sessions are normally recommended around every 6 to 12 months depending on the individual and the product used.

If you’d like tailored advice and a treatment plan specific to you and your aesthetic goals, we recommend booking a complimentary consultation with the cosmetic injector at your local Australian Skin Clinics.

At Australian Skin Clinics, we understand that having a cosmetic procedure (especially if it is your first time) can be a little daunting, and with numerous anti-ageing products and treatment options available to you, how do you know what is the most effective and the safest?

Two important factors to consider when deciding on a treatment are, the safety of the product being used and the qualifications, skill and experience of the person providing the treatment. We only use dermal filler products that have a proven safety record. Federal legislation prevents us from naming the product on our website, however what we can tell you is they have been used here in Australia for over 12 years, longer than any other hyaluronic acid dermal filler and have performed over 15 million treatments worldwide, so their safety record speaks for itself.

As with any medical procedure there are potential side effects that should be fully explained to you prior to undergoing your treatment. Most of these are injection-related, such as swelling, bruising and discomfort which will resolve over a few days. As part of your consultation and treatment your treating medical professional will discuss your medical history, current medications, illness or allergies that may impact on your suitability to undergo treatment with dermal fillers.

Please feel free to contact any of our clinics if you have any further questions about the dermal filler products we use.

Dermal filler injections are not suitable for:

  • people with a known hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients
  • pregnant or breastfeeding mums
  • clients under the age of 18

During your complimentary consultation, your treating medical professional will assess your medical history and skin for suitability for treatment.
