How it works
As we age, our skin loses vital molecules involved in hydration which leads to skin dehydration, loss of elasticity and volume.
Hydroboost works by injecting a hydrating gel-like substance into the skin’s surface using a series of micro-injections. This naturally occurring substance can hold a thousand times its own weight in water and helps your skin to attract and retain moisture.
This gives Hydroboost its powerful hydrating and moisturising effect that leaves skin plumper, smoother and more even.
Optimise your results
For best results, we recommend an initial course of three treatments at 4-6 weekly intervals. Additional treatments may be required depending on treatment area size and your desired results.

Pre + Post Treatment Care
During Treatment
You will experience a series of injections with a small needle. This treatment takes around 5 – 15 minutes to perform. Topical anaesthetic cream can be applied for comfort.
After Treatment
- Redness, slight swelling and bruising may occur and can last for a few days.
- Avoid exercise, hot showers, sauna, steam rooms and spas, prolonged sun exposure and excessive alcohol consumption for 48 hours post-treatment.
- Book a review with your cosmetic injector 2-4 weeks post-treatment
7 Days Prior
Avoid chemical peels and microneedling for 7 days prior to treatment.
24 Hours Prior
- Avoid excessive sun exposure

- Avoid over the counter medications or multi vitamins that may cause blood thinning such as: Ibuprofen, aspirin, fish oil, vitamin e
- Please continue to take any regular blood thinning medication that has been prescribed to you by your GP
On the day of your appointment ensure you have eaten a meal and increase your water intake.
Consultation
All cosmetic injectable treatments require a complimentary consultation with one of our doctors or registered nurses.
Please advise your cosmetic injector if you are taking any blood-thinning medications (such as aspirin, warfarin or clopidogrel etc.) regardless of whether you’re expecting to have a treatment.

If you are looking to improve the texture, quality and hydration levels of your skin, this treatment could be recommended for you.
This treatment would not be suitable if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or undergoing IVF.
Optimal results are between 1-3 months as the treatment also stimulates natural collagen production.
Your skin will look smoother and more hydrated, giving a healthy, ‘refreshed’ appearance. Results will last up to 9 months.
Following injection, there may be redness, slight swelling, or bruising around the injection area but these usually only last a few days.
