Don’t sweat it.
Hyperhidrosis is the condition which causes excessive sweat production and can affect anyone.
If you’ve ever experienced excessive sweating, pesky sweat stains in your favourite shirts or are prone to damp underarms then a consultation with our medical team for Hyperhidrosis may be what you are looking for.
Benefits of Hyperhidrosis Treatments
Reduce excess sweating
Performed by medical professionals
How it works
This Hyperhidrosis treatment works just below the surface of your skin. By blocking the nerve impulse from reaching the treatment area, the sweat glands become inactive.
Your Aesthetic Nurse will have a complimentary consultation with you to discuss your aesthetic goals and develop a tailored plan.
Optimise your results
During your consultation, our Aesthetic Nurse will provide you with a comprehensive assessment and personal treatment plan. Due to Hyperhidrosis’ efficiency, only a single treatment is typically required to see results.
Results will develop for two weeks post-treatment and can last up to 9 months. At this point, we recommend coming in for a maintenance re-treatment.
Pre + Post Treatment Care
All cosmetic aesthetic treatments require a consultation with one of our doctors or aesthetic registered nurses.
During your consultation, please advise your aesthetic nurse if you are taking any blood-thinning medications (such as aspirin, warfarin or clopidogrel etc.).
Avoid chemical peels and microneedling for 7 days prior to treatment.
Avoid exercise, hot showers, sauna, steam rooms and spas, prolonged sun exposure and excessive alcohol consumption for 48 hours post-treatment.
Book a review with your aesthetic nurse 2-4 weeks post-treatment

Sweating is a necessary (and totally normal) function of the human body. It assists in regulating our body temperature and works by stimulating our eccrine glands to release a mixture of water, sodium and other substances onto the surface of the skin. The problem (hyperhidrosis/ excessive sweating) occurs when this process goes rogue.
What is causing your excessive sweating will depend on the category of hyperhidrosis. There are two categories: primary and secondary. Primary hyperhidrosis is the most common, and the cause is still unknown. Primary hyperhidrosis typically starts in childhood and there is usually a family history of the condition.
Secondary hyperhidrosis is when the sweating is caused by an underlying medical condition and may affect the whole body. Possible causes include hyperthyroidism, menopause or obesity. We recommend consulting with your GP to determine the cause of your excessive sweating before seeking treatment.
At Australian Skin Clinics, we only treat the underarms for hyperhidrosis. However, some people also experience hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating) on the hands, feet and even face.
