Skin treatments
Microderms and Peels
PRE-TREATMENT PREPARATION
48 HOURS PRIOR
No cosmetic injections in the treatment area.
3 DAYS PRIOR
Avoid excess sun exposure, solariums and fake tanning. Cease cosmeceutical retinol.
2 WEEKS PRIOR
Prepare your skin using the recommended skincare products. Avoid waxing, laser or IPL hair removal, depilatory creams and electrolysis. Avoid prescription retinol (topical vitamin A) or Hydroquinone (whitening creams). No chemical peels or laser resurfacing treatments.
POST-TREATMENT CARE
12 HOURS POST TREATMENT
Do not pick the skin as this could lead to hyper/hypo-pigmentation or scarring. Jessner peel only – Do not wet the skin for 12 hours post treatment.
24 HOURS POST
Avoid hot showers, sauna, steam rooms and exercise. Commence a gentle skincare routine using the recommended products. Drink plenty of water to rehydrate your skin. The recommended recovery cream an SPF 50+ can be applied liberally every 4 hours.
3 DAYS POST
Avoid active products containing AHA/BHA or retinol (continue to avoid for 7 days with Jessner peel/ Pigmentation peel). Avoid direct sun exposure. Do not pick the skin.
Skin Tightening and Rejuvenation
PRE-TREATMENT PREPARATION
3 DAYS PRIOR
Cease cosmeceutical retinol.
2 WEEKS PRIOR
Avoid prescription retinol (topical vitamin A) or Hydroquinone (whitening creams). Avoid excess sun exposure, solariums and fake tanning. Begin careful skin preparation using the recommended products. Do not wax or use abrasive scrubs.
POST-TREATMENT CARE
IMMEDIATELY POST TREATMENT
Apply the recommended recovery cream as required.
24 HOURS POST
Commence a gentle skincare routine using the recommended products. Use a moisturising spritz to cool and hydrate the skin at any time. Apply SPF 50+ sunscreen to the treated area. 48 HOURS POST Avoid excessive exercise and chlorinated pools.
72 HOURS POST
Avoid using any active products containing AHA/BHA or retinol. 7 DAYS POST No cosmetic injectable treatments. Avoid excess sun exposure, solariums and fake tanning
LED Light Therapy
PRE-TREATMENT PREPARATION
Avoid photosensitising medication.
POST-TREATMENT CARE
Avoid exercise for 24 hour.
PRP Skin Rejuvenation
PRE-TREATMENT PREPARATION
5 DAYS PRIOR
Avoid blood thinning medications such as Aspirin or medications containing Aspirin.
Avoid supplements that are known to increase bruising such as garlic, ginkgo, ginseng, green tea extract, vitamin E, multi-vitamins, omega 3 & 6 and fish oils.
Do not use topical medications or high strength cosmeceuticals containing vitamin A, retinol or glycolic acid.
2 WEEKS PRIOR
Do not take any oral corticosteroids (eg prednisone).
Do not have skin treatments such as peels, microdermabrasion, exfoliants or prescription vitamin A.
POST-TREATMENT CARE
IMMEDIATELY POST TREATMENT
Avoid exercise for 24 hours.
Use of Aspirin may resume 48 hours post-treatment, unless otherwise directed by your doctor.
For hair loss clients, do not wash hair within six hours following treatment.
5 DAYS POST TREATMENT
Resume active homecare regime as per your nurses recommendations.
10 DAYS POST TREATMENT
Resume any non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medications (such as Nurofen, Ibuprofen, Voltaren, Celebrex, Mobic or any other prescribed anti-inflammatory medications) as needed.
2 WEEKS POST TREATMENT
Advanced skin treatments can resume as per your nurses recommendations.
Injectables
Anti-wrinkle
PRE-TREATMENT PREPARATION
DAY OF CONSULTATION
Advise our doctors and nurses if you are taking blood thinning medications (such as aspirin, warfarin or clopidogrel etc), regardless of whether you are expecting to have treatment or just a consultation.
7 DAYS PRIOR
Avoid chemical peels and needling.
POST-TREATMENT CARE
IMMEDIATELY POST TREATMENT
Maximise facial activity for half an hour (such as frowning, raising your eyebrows and squinting).
Avoid lying down horizontal for 4 hours.
Do not have facial treatments, rub or massage the treated area.
Avoid exercise for 24 hours.
You may gently cleanse the area with cotton wool.
Take paracetamol as needed.
2 WEEKS POST
Visit your cosmetic injector for a review appointment
Dermal Filler
PRE-TREATMENT PREPARATION
DAY OF CONSULTATION
Advise our doctors and nurses if you are taking blood thinning medications (such as aspirin, warfarin or clopidogrel etc), regardless of whether you are expecting to have treatment or just a consultation. If you have a history of cold sores, follow the preventative regime that has been prescribed for you.
7 DAYS PRIOR
Avoid chemical peels and needling
POST-TREATMENT CARE
IMMEDIATELY POST TREATMENT
Apply ice frequently (5-10 minutes every half hour) for up to 6 hours.
For lips, your cosmetic injector will advise you on how and when to massage to assist with final result.
LED Light Therapy may be used to help reduce swelling and bruising.
24 HOURS POST
Apply mineral makeup where necessary, using a clean brush
Avoid sun exposure.
Arnica pilules or Hirudoid cream (available from local pharmacy) may help reduce bruising.
Sleep with your head slightly elevated and avoid pressure on the area.
2 WEEKS POST
Visit your cosmetic injector for a review appointment.
Double-chin reduction
PRE-TREATMENT PREPARATION
DAY OF CONSULTATION
Advise our doctors and nurses if you are taking blood thinning medications (such as aspirin, warfarin or clopidogrel etc), regardless of whether you are expecting to have treatment or just a consultation.

Shave the treatment area if required.

Do not drink alcoholic beverages.

Avoid active skincare products containing cosmeceutical
retinol (topical vitamin A) or hydroquinone (whitening creams).
2 WEEKS PRIOR
Avoid sun exposure, solariums and fake tanning. Avoid waxing, plucking, depilatory creams and electrolysis. Cease use of topical prescription retinol
POST-TREATMENT CARE
IMMEDIATELY POST TREATMENT
Hair removal/pigmentation only – Soothe the treated area with cool water, ice packs and apply the recommended product as per your technician’s advice. Apply SPF 50+ sunscreen every 4 hours. Avoid excessive sweating, hot showers, exercise, sauna, spa and swimming, shaving, waxing, plucking and exfoliating. Fraxel only – Sleep elevated for the first night.
3 DAYS POST
Continue to apply the recommended recovery cream and SPF 50+ sunscreen as instructed. Avoid using any active products that contain AHA / BHA or retinol for 3-5 days. Hair removal only – Maintain a good skincare routine with an adequate daily moisturiser.
5 DAYS POST
Gently exfoliate with the recommended microdermal cleansing scrub.
7 DAYS POST
Avoid sun exposure. Apply an SPF 50+ sunscreen throughout the day. Rejuvenation, pigmentation, general redness and fraxel only – Maintain a good skincare routine with an adequate daily moisturiser.

IPL
PRE-TREATMENT PREPARATION
12 HOURS PRIOR

Tattoo Removal
PRE-TREATMENT PREPARATION
Please note: For your safety, we cannot treat clients who are pregnant, breast-feeding, trying to conceive or undergoing IVF treatment, chemical or radiation therapy. We also cannot treat clients who have auto-immune disease, epilepsy, diabetes, vitiligo, a history of abnormal or keloid scarring.
DURING CONSULTATION
Regardless of whether you are expecting to have treatment or just a consultation, please advise our doctors and nurses if you are taking any medications such as blood thinning medications (aspirin, warfarin or clopidogrel etc), photo-sensitising medication or if you have taken Isotretinoin within the last six months (e.g. Roaccutane, Oratane).
1 WEEK PRIOR
Cease use of any waxing or depilatory cream on the area to be treated
2 WEEKS PRIOR
Avoid all sun exposure, sunbed exposure, fake tan on the area to be treated
4 WEEKS PRIOR
Cease all laser/IPL Hair reduction treatment on the area to be treated
POST-TREATMENT PREPARATION
IMMEDIATELY POST TREATMENT
Discomfort may be relieved by cold gel packs and/or an over the counter pain reliever, such as acetaminophen.
Keep cool, hydrated and avoid exercise for 72 hours
If you are prone to break outs or have oily skin, consider waiting 24 hours before applying any topical products
1-14 DAYS POST
Cleanse the treated area daily with water and mild soap, and then pat the area dry. After cleansing, apply a thin layer of Burnaid ointment and apply a non-stick pad over the tattoo until it is completely healed.
Avoid swimming, soaking or using hot tubs/whirlpools until the skin heals.
Avoid sun exposure and do not rub or scratch the treated area.
If crusting/scabbing occurs, do not shave or pick area. Apply post tattoo-removal ointment to the area 2-3 times a day. Keep the area moist and let the crusting/scabbing resolve on its own.
Avoid contact sports or any other activity that could cause injury of the treated area.
Contact your technician if there is any indication of infection (redness, tenderness or pus).
Fat Reduction
